You have the power to choose how you feel, how you think, and how you react. You are in control of your emotions, and you can choose to forgive, forget, and move on.
Here is a sample hypnotherapy script for Forgive, Forget and Move On:
Induction
(Soft, calming music plays in the background)
“Welcome to this hypnotherapy session, where you’ll cultivate forgiveness, let go of the past, and move forward with peace. Find a comfortable seated or lying position, close your eyes, and take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Imagine yourself standing at the top of a peaceful staircase, with each step leading you deeper into relaxation. With each step down, feel your body relax, your mind calm, and your heart lighten.
Take a step down… and feel your muscles relax.
Take another step down… and feel your mind quiet.
Take one more step down… and feel your heart fill with calmness.”
Deepening
“Now, visualize a warm, soothing light beginning to fill your body. This light represents relaxation, calmness, and peace. As it flows through you, it dissolves any tension, anxiety, or stress.
Imagine this light starting at the crown of your head, flowing down through your face, neck, shoulders, arms, hands, chest, abdomen, lower back, hips, legs, and finally, your toes.
As this light fills your body, repeat to yourself: ‘I am calm, I am relaxed, I am at peace.’”
Forgiveness
“Now, bring to mind the person or situation that has been causing you distress. Visualize them in front of you. See their face, their expression, and their body language.
As you look at this person, notice how you feel. Do you feel angry, hurt, or frustrated? Allow yourself to feel these emotions, but also remind yourself that you are safe and in control.
Imagine that you are holding a small, delicate flower in your hands. This flower represents forgiveness. As you hold it, feel its beauty, its fragrance, and its gentle energy.
Repeat to yourself: ‘I choose to forgive. I choose to let go of the pain and the anger. I choose to release the burden of resentment.’”
Letting Go
“Imagine that with each breath, you’re releasing more and more of the negative emotions associated with this experience. You’re letting go of the need to hold onto it, to replay it, or to relive it.
Visualize a river flowing in front of you. Imagine that you’re standing on the riverbank, and you’re throwing a stone into the water. Watch as the ripples spread out and disappear.
Repeat to yourself: ‘I let go. I release. I forgive.’”
Forgetting
“Now, imagine that you’re walking through a peaceful forest. The trees are tall and green, and the air is filled with the sweet scent of flowers.
As you walk, imagine that you’re leaving the past behind you. You’re walking away from the pain, the anger, and the resentment.
Repeat to yourself: ‘I forget. I release the memories that no longer serve me. I choose to move forward with peace and clarity.’”
Moving On
“Imagine that you’re standing at a crossroads. One path leads to the past, and the other path leads to the future.
Choose to take the path that leads to the future. Imagine that you’re walking down this path, feeling lighter, freer, and more at peace.
Repeat to yourself: ‘I move on. I choose to live in the present moment. I choose to create a brighter future for myself.’”
Empowerment and Affirmations
“Remember that you have the power to choose how you feel, how you think, and how you react. You are in control of your emotions, and you can choose to forgive, forget, and move on.
Repeat to yourself: ‘I am strong, I am capable, and I am deserving of peace and happiness.’
‘I trust that I can handle any challenges that come my way.
‘I choose to live in the present moment, free from the burdens of the past.’”
Counting Up and Awakening
“When you’re ready, slowly open your eyes. Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, feel refreshed, renewed, and at peace.
Imagine that you’re counting up a staircase, with each step bringing you back to full awareness. Take a step up… and feel yourself becoming more alert.
Take another step up… and feel yourself becoming more energized.
Take one more step up… and you’re back, fully awake and aware.”
